Open House By Home Owner. (basics)

Are you a home owner that's trying to sell your current home without enlisting the assistance of a registered Realtor? I admire your courage. An open house would be one of the best ways for a home owner to attract attention to the property they want to sell. Here are some helpful tips to make your Open House run more smoothly.

1. Remove small valuables from view.
2. Remove medications from all rooms in the home including your medicine cabinet.
3. Keep your bills, credit card receipts and bank statements out of view. You may want to store them with your other valuables.
4.Take inventory/pictures of your property and what was stored so you will know quickly if anything is missing.
5.Consider removing personal photographs that may be on display. This may interfere with the potential home buyers state of mind. Often a potential home buyer will imagine themselves living in the home that is for sale and while conducting your Open House if you have your personal property is on display then that will totally destroy that vision.
